Be PROUD!

Hi there, how are you! I am guessing that you are sitting in the computer right now, your hands on the mouse, your eyes looking at the screen, bored and reading my blog. I am sometimes like this, bored and don't know what I will be reading next. To give you more information about my blog, what you are about to read right now is a blog about how can I show my nationalism to my country, the Philippines in the modern day. In the same way or at the same time that you are reading this, this blog can also help you on how to show your nationalism to your own country.

Before all the explanation, what is Nationalism and what does  Nationalism mean? When people hear the word Nationalism, a lot of things comes to their mind like heroism, sacrificing and something big. Nationalism doesn't mean sacrificing, being a hero and doing big things for our country. We could also do Nationalism in our own little ways. And these are some.

I am a half blooded Japanese and Filipino person and I know that that won't hinder me from showing my nationalism to my country, the Philippines. If I am half Japanese, it doesn't mean that I will not respect the Filipinos and vice versa because I still have a half side of me for being a Filipino and I don't or anybody doesn't have any rights to disrespect the Filipinos.

I am getting far away from the point of my blog. There should be a question being answered in a blog. The question is, "How can I show my nationalism to my country, the Philippines in the modern day?" Well, that is not an easy nor a hard question. Yet, its shall be answered.

My first answer is quite usual and everybody have probably heard this before. Whenever the question is always about Nationalism, this is the answer. This is by singing and reciting the National Anthem well and properly. By standing straight during the singing of the anthem and by straightening our arms when saying our pledge. By doing these things, we give honor and respect to our country.

Second is by buying things that are made here in the Philippines. Like foods, clothing, accessories, and many more products that are originated in one's country.I should be proud, not only me, but everybody should be proud of their own country's work. We must all try to do our very best to avoid buying things, food and other things from other countries. Why? Because I am proud to say that Filipino's works are great and every Filipino should be proud.

Third, last but not the least is by not littering. Our country is quite dirty because people throw their trashes everywhere and they don't dispose them properly. By doing these things, it is showing that we don't give respect to our country. Do you guys even know what these can cause to our country or in the world? We must not only avoid doing this but stop doing this. For me, I could be a leader and setting an example to my fellow youth to start trowing our trashes in the right trash bin.

So these are 3 simple yet really useful ways or things that you can do to show your nationalism in the modern days. And let us always remember that it truly is MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES.
